Hangman Page and Kenny Omega come face-to-face on AEW Dynamite
Tony is about to talk to AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis, but Callis tells the legendary announcer to go away. Callis tried to speak over the crowd as they chanted "You got fired!"
Callis hit back by saying "Real men don't quit, they get fired."
Callis then brought up the recurring point they've made recently, that Omega has no more challengers in AEW. The crowd chants "Hangman" Adam Page's name, but Callis ignores them. So, Dark Order comes out and Evil Uno asks him why he's ignoring them.
Omega pulls the old Christian Cage "What's the capital of Thailand?" gag and hits Uno with a low blow. A brawl breaks out between Omega's allies and The Dark Order.
Hangman came out to rescue his friends from a beatdown and confronted Kenny Omega in the ring which got the crowd buzzing.
The AEW Champion slapped Page and decided to retreat.
Now we've got a one-on-one with Jim Ross in between Ethan Page and Darby Allin. J.R. is disgusted that these two are trying to end each other's career, and Allin and Page begin a fantastic back and forth promo.
Next week, AEW comes to Austin, TX, and it'll feature Darby Allin vs Ethan Page in a Coffin Match.
Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz vs Wardlow and FTR - Trios match on AEW Dynamite
It was time for a trios match as FTR and Wardlow took on Ortiz, Santana, and Jake Hager. Konnan came to the ring with the representatives of the Inner Circle.
Ortiz and Dax Harwood started off the match and Dax got some big chops in before getting Wheeler in. Cash dropped Ortiz and Wardlow inflicted more damage by hitting a gutwrench powerbomb.
Jake Hager gets tagged in and proceeded to just destroy everybody in the ring that's not on his team. At this point, we get a chance to catch our collective breath when the show goes to commercial.
Wheeler was getting picked apart by Ortiz but Harwood got a blind tag. After this, we got Hager and Wardlow inside the ring and both men went at it with some big shots. Jake got an Ankle Lock synched in but Tully Blanchard provided a timely distraction. This allowed FTR to hit the Big Rig and Wardlow secured the pin on AEW Dynamite.
Result: Wardlow and FTR defeats Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz.
Grade: B
Konnan hits the ring, attempting to get some payback, but his attack doesn't really do anything to Wardlow. Tully Blanchard clips him in the knee, sending the Inner Circle members back to the ring to check on him.
