#4. AEW's Kenny Omega is still hopeful of facing AJ Styles
AEW world champion Kenny Omega appeared on the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, where he spoke on a wide range of topics, including the dream match against AJ Styles.
Kenny Omega took over as Bullet Club's leader from AJ Styles in 2016 before the Phenomenal One signed with WWE. AJ Styles recently signed a new WWE contract and has made it clear that his current deal will be his last as an in-ring competitor.
Despite the odds being heavily stacked against the match, Kenny Omega is not giving up on the prospect of wrestling AJ Styles. The AEW champion wants the idea to exist in his head as he can't predict what will happen in the future.
"Going back to things that I love that never got a sequel or a part 2 or part 3 or 4 or whatever, it never got another season. I hate feeling like it's over, and I want these things to exist in my mind, at least. I think for fans that may be dug those stories. I never want to completely close the book on them because maybe, who knows, somewhere down the line, I might have that match with AJ, and I want to be able to call upon that history when the time comes."
While the AJ Styles match might not happen anytime soon, Kenny Omega could face two other indie darlings who might be on their way to AEW...
