CM Punk's AEW run did not go as he had hoped, yet he made some acquaintances during his time in Tony Khan's company. Amidst many popular names joining WWE from the Jacksonville-based promotion, The Second City Saint could convince his boss, Triple H, to bring another one to the roster.

The star, who is a highly comedic and exciting attraction, is Danhausen. Mr. Very Nice Very Evil has not been seen on television since the ROH Final Battle event late last year. In another interesting turn, Fightful reported that the uncanny AEW star's contract is also set to expire soon.

With WWE already signing stars like Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe, both of whom were top attractions in AEW, the next name that could be considered is Danhausen, should he become a free agent. CM Punk could act as the catalyst for that to come to fruition. The Best in the World has been friends with the face-painted star, and the duo are often seen exchanging words on social media even today.

Moreover, Triple H's locker room now has a spot open for a comedic attraction after R-Truth underwent a makeover following his return at the 2025 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Danhausen can perfectly fit the bill and possibly take his antics to a new level in the global juggernaut.

CM Punk is set for a marquee match at WWE's next Premium Live Event

While CM Punk convincing Triple H to bring Danhausen on board is yet to be seen, The Second City Saint does have a huge task ahead of him. On the RAW after Money in the Bank, Punk confronted the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena.

The two took fans down memory lane and recreated a classic scenario from the early 2010s, a war of words between two of the best talkers in the industry. At the end of their confrontation, Cena and Punk agreed to one last showdown for the WWE title at the upcoming Night of Champions Premium Live Event, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 28th.

With the marquee showdown set in stone, it will be one of the most exciting matches on John Cena's farewell tour. For CM Punk, it's a mission to stop the ruthless Cenation Leader from ruining wrestling.
