Dominik Mysterio is one of the most talked about individuals in WWE and it is easy to see why. He gets a reaction from the crowd unlike any other and all that is down to how good he reads the situation.

Ever since his injury, he has taken a back seat and it is obvious to see why. He has not been in action to have an impact as compared to when he is wrestling. Add to that the injury to Rhea Ripley, and things have gone downhill for the son of Rey Mysterio.

Things have also been brewing between him and Liv Morgan in the absence of Rhea, and there have been hints that he might leave the group and side with Morgan after all. In that case, there is only one man who can replace him in the Judgment Day.

Buddy Matthews should be the one

The one and only obvious replacement is current AEW star, Buddy Matthews, and he can easily fill the void that will be created by Dominik Mysterio. Given that he is also the real-life fiance of Rhea Ripley, it will add all the more emotion to the move.

He has not been used to his full potential in AEW and has been floundering in the periphery with the House of Black. His talent is there for all to see and a return to WWE to join the Judgment Day would make sense.

Dominik Mysterio should be on his own

Dominik Mysterio needed a helping hand when he first turned heel and sided with Judgment Day. However, things have now changed and he is a bonafide heel now. He has adopted all the characteristics of being the bad guy and needs a run on his own.

Partnering with Liv Morgan will give him a new lease on life and will make sure that he has a new 'romantic' partner with Rhea Ripley missing from the picture.

Buddy Matthews could breathe fresh air into Judgment Day

The Judgment Day faction has gone stale, especially since the injury to Rhea Ripley. Damian Priest is now the World Heavyweight Champion and has shown signs that he might leave too.

The potential inclusion of Buddy Matthews could ensure that even in the event of Damian Priest or Dominik Mysterio splitting from the group, then there is an able successor who can take up the mantle if needed. It could be the one move that satisfies all parties.
