A four-time WWE champion has just had his flawless record broken at the AEW Full Gear 2024 Pay-Per-View as he was pinned for the first time since joining the Tony Khan-led company. That would be Ricochet.

The Future of Flight has been on a great run since making his debut in the Jacksonville-based company at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View back in August. He has won every singles match he has competed in and has not been pinned during the multi-man matches he has participated in.

At Full Gear 2024, the 36-year-old star challenged Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship. Both men were part of a Three-way match for the title last month at the WrestleDream 2024 Pay-Per-View, with The Alpha emerging victorious after pinning Will Ospreay.

Ricochet, who was not pinned during the match, stated his claim to the title and wished to settle this with Takeshita one-on-one. He has gotten the best of him during some tag team matches but this singles match was the one with the biggest stakes.

After some incredible exchanges of offense between the two men, it was Konosuke Takeshita who came out on top.

After countering several of Ricochet's finisher attempts, the Japanese star was able to hit his Raging Fire move from the top rope to seal the deal, marking his first successful title defense. This also marks the first time The Future of Flight has been pinned in any match he has competed in since signing with AEW.
