Adam Cole made a surprise return at AEW Dynasty and teased betraying an AEW star. The star being referenced is Wardlow.

The Undisputed Kingdom consists of Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Wardlow.

At Dynasty pay-per-view, Roderick Strong defeated Kyle O'Reilly in a stellar match to retain his International Championship. Moments later, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Wardlow came out to celebrate with him. To everyone's surprise, The Devil also returned to the company after having been absent for many weeks.

Additionally, Adam stood up from the wheelchair he had been using for months, indicating he was nearing his in-ring return. He had injured his ankle in September 2023. His last match took place at All Out last year, where he defended the ROH Tag Team Championship along with MJF.

After getting into the ring to celebrate with The Undisputed Kingdom, The Panama City Playboy looked briefly at Wardlow, implying he might betray him down the line. The tension between the duo has seemingly risen since Mr. Mayhem didn't win the AEW World Championship at Dynamite: Big Business for Adam Cole.

It remains to be seen if and when Cole could turn on Wardlow, now that the seeds for their rivalry have been planted. As of now, there have been no reports on whether he is medically cleared for an in-ring return yet.
