The 2024 edition of Dynamite: Winter is Coming featured a singles bout between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly, joint winners of last week's Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal. The former Undisputed Elite stable-mates squared off for the right to face Maxwell Jacob Friedman for his Dynamite Diamond Ring at AEW Worlds End later this month.
Toppling The Violent Artist proved to be a tall task for Cole, whose ankle was targeted by the skilled grappler during the match. However, The Panama City Playboy managed to counter O'Reilly's offense with his signature maneuvers.

Towards the end of the bout, MJF, who earlier was seen arriving at the arena for the first time in weeks, attempted to clobber Cole with his Dynamite Diamond Ring from the apron while the referee was checking on O'Reilly. However, the former NXT Champion took out his former tag partner with a superkick, eventually countering another ankle lock attempt from O'Reilly with a pinfall of his own to secure the win.

In the process, Adam Cole finally locked down a match with The Wolf of Wrestling at AEW Worlds End 2024.
