AEW is coming out of its first-ever four-hour Fyter Fest television special, with the inaugural Summer Blockbuster special coming up on the road to All In: Texas. Fans just received another dose of positive news today as one familiar face just shared an update after an extended absence from in-ring action.

AEW hired Rebel in August 2019 as a hair and makeup stylist, despite working the previous seven years in TNA, OVW, and Stardom, with one WWE appearance. The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader was brought to TV as the exclusive stylist to Britt Baker, who incorrectly called her "Reba" for a time. Rebel has not wrestled for Tony Khan since August 21, 2022, but she did return to the ring in February 2024 for GLCW, teaming with Harley Cameron to defeat Sophia Rose and Gema.

All Elite Wrestling's Rebel Not Reba continues to recover from a tumor. The 46-year-old took to Instagram today to reveal she was hospitalized one year ago with a tumor, quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in the 1990 comedy Kindergarten Cop. Rebel mentioned another surgery, and included a hospital photo, but did not elaborate on her status or future.

"It’s not a Tumah ~ Kindegarten Cop. Ok, it is, but it’s out now [smiling face emoji]. Still healing with another surgery. Trying to get better from when I was hospitalized last May 2024," wrote Rebel with the photo below.

Rebel ended up working 13 AEW matches, but last appeared on TV for the June 2022 Elevation loss to Anna Jay. She then picked up two dark match wins over Gizelle Azure and Vicky Dreamboat, but hasn't wrestled for Tony Khan since August 21, 2022.

AEW Dynamite updated lineup

All Elite Wrestling will return to Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, on Wednesday, July 2. This will be a special double-taping for Dynamite and Collision.
