A popular AEW star has just realized something after they seemingly confirmed who was responsible for booking some very gruesome spots in the company. This was Swerve Strickland talking about Tony Khan.
Looking back at the past year alone, there have been a lot of matches featuring some hardcore spots. The most infamous one was of course the Lights Out Steel Cage match between Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland at All Out two months ago. Several other hardcore matches have gone viral for some crazy moments during the matches.
A few days ago on AEW Collision, Nick Wayne defeated AR Fox, finally getting revenge after over a year. Post-match, he got a staple gun and used it to attack a photo of Fox's father on his forehead.
Tony Khan commented on the situation, seemingly in approval of this move. Swerve Strickland has since responded, calling out TK for loving these types of hardcore spots.
Swerve's tweet can be found here.
"I knew you always loved this s**t..." Swerve replied.
Swerve Strickland has another major challenge ahead of him at AEW Full Gear
In a few weeks, Swerve Strickland will be competing in what could be his tallest task this year alone, as he takes on Bobby Lashley, who will be making his AEW in-ring debut.
Two weeks ago, The All-Mighty made his first appearance in AEW, reuniting with MVP and Shelton Benjamin. He instantly clobbered Swerve, putting him to sleep by choking him out with the Hurt Lock. The former AEW World Champion wanted retribution and challenged him to a match at the pay-per-view.
Swerve has not had the best run in the last few months as he lost to both Bryan Danielson and Hangman Adam Page. Lashley is someone who is equally or even more dangerous than the two individuals. He has a big task ahead of him, as he'll look to play spoiler to the former WWE Champion's debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
