Christian Cage possesses a future world title opportunity contract [Photo: AEW Official Website]
Following tonight's episode of AEW Collision, it was apparent that Christian Cage was snubbed from this week's edition of the Saturday show. This was due to his segment not being aired.

This week's show was taped as it was live last Thursday in Toledo, Ohio. It featured several interesting matches, some of which set the scene for WrestleDream next weekend.
Spoilers of the show already surfaced on the internet a few days ago, and some mentioned that Christian Cage was featured in a segment. This was following the opening contest between Darby Allin and Johnny TV.
He came out to address his title contract, claiming that he was not willing to do it in a place like Toledo. He then began to talk smack to the crowd, and they began to boo him. Christian Cage then revealed that a redeeming factor for the show was that Nick Wayne was set for action later in the night.

This segment never made it to live television and was not broadcast. Instead, it skipped to The Outrunners' video package. Nick Wayne was still shown in action as part of a four-way match against Hologram, Action Andretti, and Komander.
No one knows for sure why this was scrapped from the show, but The Patriarch may not be happy with this.

If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
