A former AEW Champion was seen coughing up blood after a brutal attack at Summer Blockbuster 2025. The situation got so out of hand that he had to be stretchered out of the arena, much to the horror of the fans.
AEW International Champion Kenny Omega and Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada were in the ring for the contract signing of their impending match at All In, where the two belts will be unified and the winner will walk away with the new Unified Championship. As they were talking, out came Don Callis and said that Konosuke Takeshita should be in the match.
Omega then said that he did not care what he thought and said that he was ready for whatever Don Callis may have up his sleeve. However, things turned bad as Kazuchika turned on Kenny Omega and sided with Callis. The two men then paired up and attacked the former AEW World Champion.

After targeting Omega’s midsection where he had the surgery for diverticulitis, Okada kept doing it again and again. The doctors then came out and put Omega on a stretcher to wheel him away, but Okada saw this as another opportunity to attack and hit Omega with an elbow that forced him to cough up blood.
The two men then scampered away from the arena as the fans incessantly booed them.
