Reports have just come in regarding an absent AEW star finally returning to the promotion after 18 months. This would be Bandido.

The luchador has not competed for the promotion since June 2023, when he faced Konosuke Takeshita. He sustained a severe wrist injury that required surgery, which was the reason for his long-term hiatus from the company. In October this year, he was reportedly spotted backstage during an episode of Dynamite and it was revealed that he was already cleared for action.

Over the past few weeks, the promotion has released two vignettes teasing Bandido's return. Fightful Select has just reported that El Mas Buscado was spotted in New York ahead of AEW and ROH's shows at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom. They will be holding all three weekly shows along with ROH's Final Battle pay-per-view this weekend.

Bandido has broken silence regarding his AEW return

The luchador has now reacted to the vignettes that have been released this month and has hinted at his return to the promotion being imminent.

On the first episode of Dynamite this month, a vignette was released showing a few bounty hunters coming back to town, with many expressing their interest in going after The Most Wanted.

They followed this up a week later with Bandido's first on-screen appearance as he was confronted by the aforementioned bounty hunters. He took them all out before riding his horse out of the place. He took to his X (fka Twitter) account to express his excitement about being back.

"THE MOST WANTED IS BACK! 🔫💰💰," he wrote.

It is unclear whether he'll finally return to AEW this week during the tapings for Dynamite, Rampage, or Collision. This could be something fans stay tuned for, as he could be a last-minute addition to Worlds End scheduled for next Saturday at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
