Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Max Caster recently made a bold statement regarding a major star's run in the Tony Khan-led promotion. The star in question is none other than Kazuchika Okada.
The Rainmaker chose to sign with All Elite Wrestling in March 2024 which made him one of the biggest acquisitions in the company's history. Okada also reportedly had major offers from WWE. In his first appearance as a full-time member of Jacksonville-based promotion, Kazuchika Okada shockingly turned heel and aligned himself with The Young Bucks (Nicholas & Matthew Jackson) in The Elite. The NJPW legend also managed to capture the AEW Continental Championship shortly after his signing.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Max Caster reacted to Kazuchika Okada almost completing six months in AEW. The Acclaimed member stated that he hated every single minute of The Rainmaker's run in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
"And I’ve hated every single minute."
AEW star Konosuke Takeshita on competing against Kazuchika Okada in a dream match
Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada are two of the best wrestlers from Japan and both men are currently signed to All Elite Wrestling. In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, Konosuke Takeshita explained how a match against Okada is bound to happen and will attract the attention from wrestling fans all over the world.
“I think it's destiny. Even before I came to the US, people had been saying that Takeshita vs. Okada was a dream match. While we've walked completely different paths, we're now in the same organization. When the time is right, Okada vs. Takeshita will happen, and I'd like to make it a match that will attract more attention than it does now and reach wrestling fans around the world.” [H/T: Tokyo Sports]
Kazuchika Okada is set to defend his AEW Continental Championship against Claudio Castagnoli next week on Dynamite. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in Cardiff, Wales.
