Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) bites top AEW star during Full Gear; steals big win

Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) has gone through her biggest challenge yet since becoming TBS Champion tonight at AEW Full Gear. Her streak of being undefeated almost came to an end.

Kris Statlander was dominant as the TBS Champion last year but was eventually dethroned by Julia Hart. Now, The CEO stands as the one person in the way of her re-capturing the title.

Moné has held the title since May when she beat Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing. Tonight was a different story, however, as Mercedes Moné was dealing with a huge power and size difference with Kris Statlander. She also decided to go solo tonight and told her henchwoman Kamille to watch from catering.

She dominated at the start of the match with her speed and agility but soon lost all her momentum as the match progressed. The second half was anyone's game, and both sides almost came up with major near-falls. In the end, Mercedes Moné needed to resort to dirty tactics by biting at Statlander's leg. Amidst the chaos, she blindsided Stat and sneaked in a pin for the win.

Now, The CEO is undefeated since arriving in AEW. With her not getting the best of several top stars on the roster, it remains to be seen who will beat her.
