MJF has just made a bold claim while interacting with a fan on social media when he claimed that he would have been the WWE champion by now. This comes after a viral video of him disrespectfully tossing a replica of the promotion's world title belt.

Friedman has shown his loyalty to AEW over the past year, as he revealed that he was not going anywhere anytime soon. This came following reports that there was a bidding war for him after his contract expired earlier in the year.

Recently, he was at a fan convention and had a moment where a fan asked for a picture and wanted him to hold a WWE Universal Championship replica belt. He did so, but it clearly looked like he was forced to do so, and once it was over, he just tossed the belt to the floor. On X/Twitter, MJF commented on the video, and he claimed that he was a hilarious person for making that gesture.

"I gotta be honest. I’m hilarious," Friedman claimed.

A fan responded to him and mentioned how that title could have been his had he jumped ship to WWE. Surprisingly, Max agreed with him as he acknowledged how this could have been the case if some rumors of his jump were true.

"IK," the former AEW World Champion replied.

What is MJF doing in AEW now?

Following his return at WrestleDream last month, the former AEW World Champion has found himself in a feud with a ghost from his past, as Adam Cole also made his return at the pay-per-view to confront him.

While both men are in a feud, Friedman has made some terms of his conditional before a match between them could happen. Seeing as Roderick Strong has also wanted to face him, he proposed a challenge between Strong and Cole, and the first to garner three wins between the two would be his opponent at Full Gear.

Currently, both men have gotten two wins apiece, and the next round of matches this week could determine MJF's next opponent.

Friedman has found himself in decent feuds over the past few months, as he has gone head-to-head with the likes of Will Ospreay, Daniel Garcia, and now Adam Cole and the Undisputed Kingdom.
