AEW top faction, The Hurt Syndicate, is taking its aggression and mean streak to another level with MJF. This week, they unmasked a top star, which was not a pleasant sight to witness.
During the June 11 edition of AEW Summer Blockbuster, MVP appeared in a backstage segment. He informed the audience that something was happening behind the curtain, with the voices of a beating emanating from the area.
Right after, the former WWE United States Champion walked through it, and it was revealed that other Hurt Syndicate members, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF, had attacked rising All Elite Wrestling luchador, Komander. The stable walked away from the scene with MJF spitting on the mask, which is considered highly disrespectful in the world of lucha libre, as it is sacred for the stars.
The attack came right before Mistico's match, whom MJF called out last week on Fyter Fest. He competed in a stellar showdown against Blake Christian and emerged victorious.
The Hurt Syndicate came out after his win, and the Salt of the Earth confronted the international sensation, leading to some exchanges ahead of next week's Grand Slam: Mexico.
