Wrestling fans believe that a top WWE star should cross over to AEW following on the heels of his recent loss at a major event. The star in question, LA Knight, failed to earn a guaranteed World Title shot this weekend.
Knight's meteoric rise in popularity over the past couple of years has, unfortunately, not yet led to a consistent main-event level push. As a result, fans in attendance at the Intuit Dome for the 2025 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match were earnestly rooting for the 42-year-old star to win the coveted briefcase and secure a World Championship match at any time and place of his choosing.
Unfortunately, the bout did not end in Knight's favor, as it was Seth Rollins who ultimately prevailed over all his other opponents, including the former US Champion, with the help of his new stablemates. This marks The Visionary's second time winning the briefcase, having previously won the match back in 2014.
Fans quickly flocked to X/Twitter after the PLE to express their frustrations with WWE's decision not to have LA Knight as the winner of this year's Men's Money in the Bank once again. Many users even suggested that The Megastar should jump ship to AEW.
"I wouldn't be actually mad if my GOAT LA Knight went to AEW," wrote a fan.
"LA Knight should just got to [All Elite Wrestling ]at this point if I were him (...) He could have a generational run with either the International Championship or the TNT Title. Also his character would be a great fit in NJPW as well. Really maximize his potential while he can," commented a user.
"eli drake vs hangman adam page for the aew world championship #needthat," tweeted a fan.
"LA Knight might as well go to [All Elite Wrestling] if he wants to be something," wrote another fan.
"At this point, LA Knight should go back to being Eli Drake and go back to the indies, go back to TNA; go to AEW, anything else because WWE just glass ceiling’d him in the midcard forever. This Generation’s Stone Cold/Macho Man thrown out for HHH’s favorite boy," suggested a user.
Knight reportedly signed a restructured extension with WWE last year, making it unlikely for him to go All Elite any time soon.
