Wrestling fans have appealed to a WWE legend to return to the Stamford-based promotion after his AEW deal expires. The star in question is Jeff Hardy.

The Hardy Boyz united in the Jacksonville-based promotion with Jeff's 2022 debut on Dynamite. Despite competing against The Young Bucks in a high-profile tag bout at Double or Nothing, The Hardys lost their momentum after Jeff was suspended due to being arrested under DUI charges.

Although The Charismatic Enigma returned to action in AEW in 2023, The Hardy Boyz would not be consistently booked on television. 2024 seemed to be a promising year for Jeff Hardy, as he wrestled a number of singles matches against top names, including Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, and Swerve Strickland, but he was put on the shelf after suffering an accidental injury during a No DQ match against Sammy Guevara on Rampage in February 2024.

His brother Matt Hardy left AEW earlier this month and made an unexpected appearance on TNA Rebellion. Although initial reports claimed that Jeff Hardy would be contracted to the Tony Khan-led promotion for an extended period of time due to injuries, a new update revealed that The Rainbow Haired Warrior's AEW contract may expire sooner.

Fans took to X/Twitter to react to the latest report regarding Hardy's All Elite future. They expressed their wish to see the former WWE Champion return to his old stomping grounds under Triple H's creative.

This user even speculated on a possible retirement match at WrestleMania 41.

Another user suggested that the 46-year-old star could join forces with Uncle Howdy under his old supernatural gimmick, Willow.

Other users suggested potential opponents for Jeff, citing top stars, including World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, Cody Rhodes, and former arch-rival CM Punk.

One fan also speculated on The Hardys as possible WWE Hall of Fame inductees.
