Ricochet recently went after a World Champion from a company outside of AEW. The person in question, Zack Sabre Jr., later proceeded to take a witty shot at The Future of Flight, to which the former WWE Superstar has now responded on social media.
Sabre Jr. is one of the world's most technically gifted pro-wrestlers. The NJPW star completed his long journey to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship earlier this year at King of Pro-Wrestling by defeating former title holder, Tetsuya Naito. Since then, the 37-year-old star has retained the championship against Sanada at Royal Quest and against Shingo Takagi at Power Struggle on November 4, 2024.
After his title defense against The Dragon in Osaka, Japan, Sabre Jr. was attacked by Ricochet, who challenged him to an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Dynasty next year. Zack addressed The Human Highlight Reel backstage afterward and proceeded to roast the latter over his baldness.

Ricochet then took to X/Twitter to respond to Sabre Jr.'s remarks about him.

The Future of Flight last wrestled Sabre Jr. in singles action almost seven years ago. It remains to be seen which of the two men will come out on top in their upcoming match on January 5, 2025.
Ricochet will be in action on AEW Dynamite this week
Ricochet has had a bone to pick with the reigning AEW International Champion, Konosuke Takeshita, as of late, as he blames the latter for costing him the aforementioned title on two separate occasions. The Future of Flight will face off against The Alpha in tag team action this week on Dynamite. The 29-year-old star will team up with his Don Callis Family stablemate, Kyle Fletcher, whereas the former WWE Intercontinental Champion is set to team up with a mystery partner.
The Future of Flight has since teased that his opponents for this week's Wednesday night show will be upset when they find out the identity of his tag team partner, which has led to speculations that the star in question will turn out to be a returning Will Ospreay.
