The face-painted star's last All Elite Wrestling match took place at Worlds End, where he participated in the TNT Title Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Battle Royal on December 30, 2023. Though he has been missing from TV, he regularly wrestles on the independent circuit.

Danhausen's latest match took place on November 16 at ASW War Games, where he defeated Caleb Konley in a singles match.

Fightful Select recently released a report suggesting that the star's contract will last until the summer of 2025. The report also highlighted that the Tony Khan-led management had no creative plans for him.

Fans on X/Twitter quickly reacted to the report. Some believed that his absence from TV was because of his friendship with CM Punk, who seemingly had a sour relationship with Tony Khan.

"Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayter and now Danhausen. Shouldn't have praised CM Punk because Young Bucks are salty," wrote a fan.

"Danhausen with the Wyatt Sicks would be everything since he thinks he has evil powers," a user wrote about the star potentially joining WWE to work with the Uncle Howdy-led group.

Many All Elite Wrestling fans miss seeing Danhausen on weekly shows.

"@DanhausenAD is by far my kids favorite wrestler... Can you please let him back on TV?" A person wrote.

"I genuinely hope it works out because I miss having @DanhausenAD in AEW," a comment read.

Danhausen has shared the ring with several prominent names in AEW, including Hook. He is known for his unique presentation and character work.

Danhausen was reportedly set to return to AEW

Fightful Select has reported that Danhausen has not been in touch with the Tony Khan-led promotion for over six months, with the only exceptions being approvals for indie dates. The absent star was expected to make his return from injury a year ago but expressed frustration when the plans for his comeback were seemingly altered.

AEW seemingly had plans to bring him back, but he was unwilling to return. It was believed that he wanted to prioritize indie bookings over wrestling on Collision. However, he claimed that his unavailability was due to family-related reasons.
