The Icon Sting is set to retire at AEW Revolution and many believe that The Young Bucks could be The Vigilante's opponents at the PPV. A WWE Legend has also revealed his thoughts on Sting's retirement plans.

The name in question is none other than Tommy Dreamer. This past week on AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks made their return to confront Darby Allin and Sting which has led to the speculation that The Bucks are Sting's final opponents for his retirement match at AEW Revolution.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer claimed that Sting could have one last singles match however, he questioned who could his opponent be.

"I feel that if you had a younger talent to do that, yes, to make Sting great. But Sting has to get into a feud with somebody, real quick. In a perfect world, the final match for Sting is Ric Flair, but that's not happening. I'd love to see him have one last singles match, I do feel he could have one great last singles match. But then I would have to say, who would it be? When you're saying goodbye in the fashion that Sting is saying goodbye, surely you'd want to have one last singles match?"

Dreamer further praised The Young Bucks and stated that he's a big fan of the Superkick Party.

"I know that might sound crazed coming from me, but I've also worked them and I'm a big fan of the Superkick Party." [H/T: Wrestlinginc]

AEW veteran Jim Ross gives his thoughts on Sting's possible retirement match against The Young Bucks

AEW commentator Jim Ross recently shared his take on Sting possibly facing The Young Bucks at Revolution 2024.

Speaking on his Grillin JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer praised The Young Bucks for reinventing themselves and stated that he doesn't have a problem if the duo ends up facing Sting.

“I don’t have a problem with it. You know you’re gonna get second guessed by today’s social media world no matter who you put Sting and Darby against. Young Bucks are trying to kind of reinvent themselves. You can tell by their attire, their appearance. I thought they cleaned it up pretty good, got the little mustaches and so forth."

JR continued:

"They’re looking for a fresh start and that’s one way to do it. People are going to say, ‘Well, what if they don’t want to put so and so over?’ I don’t look at it that way. This is your job, and so tonight, your job requires you to lose. Let’s roll. Let’s go.” [H/T: Ringside News]
