Tony Khan announces Mercedes Mone is challenging for another title in AEW; she already has 5 championships

AEW President made a huge announcement regarding Mercedes Mone tonight. She is currently on a generational run. While she already holds titles from All Elite Wrestling, she has also gone after titles from independent promotions. Altogether, she currently holds five championships, and it seems she might add one more to her collection next week.

Tonight, The CEO was present at the ringside during the match between Julia Hart and Toni Storm. Afterward, Mercedes and Toni engaged in a brawl. The two women will face off at All In for the AEW Women's World Championship. Ahead of this important contest, Mercedes Mone has her sights set on another title.

During the Summer Blockbuster show, she challenged Zeuxis for the CMLL World Women's Championship at AEW Grand Slam Mexico. The two even confronted each other backstage tonight. Moments later, Tony Khan took to X/Twitter and made the match official between the two champions.

"Mercedes Moné made the challenge tonight, + Zeuxis accepted! They’ll fight for the CMLL World Women's Championship at Grand Slam Mexico NEXT WEDNESDAY!" he wrote.

It will be interesting to see whether The CEO enters All In: Texas with six championships. The AEW President has also stacked up the rest of the card for next week.
