This year's first episode of AEW Dynamite implemented a major change. Tony Khan has tweaked a long-standing part of the show, with this being its theme song.

In early 2024, the promotion also revamped the show's identity, including its logo, stage design, and theme song. The Wednesday show featured "Pop" by their music producer, Mikey Rukus.
Earlier in the night, some reports mentioned that a new theme song for the show was seemingly in the works. Tonight, this was confirmed as Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen opened up with the 1982 classic I'm So Excited by the Pointer Sisters.

This news comes at an interesting time, as Tony Khan recently announced that AEW Collision will revert to its original theme song. Elton John's Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting will once more open the promotion's Saturday show. Back in July, the company suddenly moved away from the iconic song, but it seems that Khan has decided to bring it back due to popular demand.
It seems that AEW is deciding to go with these two classics moving forward. With the simulcast on Max, they'll be entering a new era.

Enzo is a Pro Wrestling journalist at Sportskeeda, reporting on AEW. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Studies, which influenced his decision of taking up sports writing professionally, and has been an avid fan of the athletic theater since childhood. He believes readers deserve authentic and unique content and aims to report in a manner which pro wrestling fans can easily relate to.
Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
Other than pro wrestling, Enzo enjoys keeping up with Basketball, Football, and Formula One. He also loves watching films, playing video games, and listening to music.
