WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long has revealed that he has no interest in working with AEW. Many WWE legends have appeared in All Elite Wrestling over the past few years.

AEW All Out was full of uneasy moments like the Unsanctioned Match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page and the plastic bag spot involving Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. However, the massive backlash from the audience doesn't seem to bother the Tony Khan-led promotion.

In the recent exclusive episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast with Mac Davis, Teddy Long stated that All Elite Wrestling should have known better before booking controversial matches at All Out. He claimed that the promotion is out of control which is why he doesn't want anything to do with it:

"I hate to say this and I ain't gonna call no names but there are two guys over there that has been in the business as long as I have. They know better but to just sit back and worry about a paycheck and don't say anything and let the company get out of control, it is out of control you can see that. It is really a shame and that's why I don't want to have nothing to do with none of them." [11:16:11:40]

Teddy Long claims AEW killed the ratings after All Out

In the same episode, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long noted how going forward with the brutality of the Unsanctioned Match killed the promotion's ratings. The veteran stated that the fans would not return to the All Elite product after AEW All Out:

"They just ditched on this! they really killed the ratings because a lot of people after that, they won't watch it." [11:51-11:56]

Bill Apter also jumped into the discussion about the controversial match:

"A lot of their fans like the ECW fans when regular wrestling fans tuned out, the ECW fans kept going back." [11:58-12:07]

This was not the first time All Elite Wrestling received backlash for their controversial moments. It will be interesting to see if the promotion changes their direction in the future.
