A WWE legend has confirmed that he will be retiring within two years, and he has also revealed that he wants a retirement tour in AEW. This will no doubt put Tony Khan on the spot.
There are a lot of former WWE stars in the company, but none have had as much of an impact in such a short time as MVP. The former Intercontinental Champion walked in the door and started the Hurt Syndicate with Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. They recently added MJF to the faction, as well, and show no signs of stopping.
MVP was a guest on the Marking Out podcast when he was asked about his future. He said that he has two more years left in him. He said:
“I’d like to think I got maybe another 10 as a manager, maybe 15 depending on my age and health. As far as in the ring, I got like maybe a year or two left max, man.” [H/T Fightful]

Former WWE star MVP wants a retirement tour
In the same interview, the leader of the Hurt Syndicate also revealed his desire to have a retirement tour in AEW. He said:
“At this stage of the game for me, like, I don’t have to do it. I just still enjoy doing it. When I get to the point that I can’t do it effectively or if I’m taking baseball slide bumps, then it’s time to go. I plan on ending this run here pretty soon anyway. I want to have my last match. I want to have the retirement tour, let me go around, ‘Hey, this is the last time MVP will be wrestling in your city.’”
It is clear to see just how much he wants to do in the home stretch of his career, and it will be interesting to see if Tony Khan feels the same way as the former WWE star.
