An AEW star was pulled from the match scheduled for Summer Blockbuster 2025. The four-hour show has been a delight so far, as AEW has booked nonstop action for the fans. However, unfortunate news has recently surfaced amid all the chaos. Komander was reportedly injured ahead of the show.

The 26-year-old has been one of AEW's most athletic stars. After losing the ROH World Television Championship in April, he lost momentum. However, after teaming up with Kevin Knight and "Speedball" Mike Bailey, he seems to be back on track. The trio challenged The Hurt Syndicate to a match last week and was ready to face the formidable team at Summer Blockbuster.
At the start of the episode, The Hurt Syndicate attacked Komander and wrote him off the action. Moments later, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightfulreported that the 26-year-old star was legitimately injured ahead of the show and therefore was replaced in the match.

CMLL's Máscara Dorada stepped in for Komander in the six-man tag team match. Unfortunately, the babyface trio lost the bout, and later, Dorada was unmasked in the ring by MJF.
It remains to be seen how long the former ROH World TV Champion will be out of action.
