A huge update has emerged regarding Jon Moxley’s backstage reputation in AEW following the filing of a lawsuit against him. This might come as a surprise to some, while not to others.
A contracted production crew member, Christopher Dispensa, accused Moxley of having the intention to cause harm and filed a lawsuit against him on May 30 in the Wayne County Circuit Court. Dispensa alleged that Moxley shoved him to the ground during the May 10, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite.
In his lawsuit, Dispensa claimed that this led to surgery on his neck and shoulder. However, according to a report from Sports Illustrated, some AEW sources have stated that they did not believe Jon Moxley had any issues with discipline.

The report further added that the former WWE star was a highly respected figure in the AEW locker room. They also noted that another star praised Moxley as a locker room leader. It will be interesting to see how this affects the company moving forward.
Former WWE star Ricochet takes Jon Moxley’s side
Jon Moxley is one of the most hated heels in AEW, and it’s no wonder why. Recently, he has been joined by another former WWE star who has become a major heel, and that is none other than Ricochet.
With the news of the lawsuit against the AEW World Champion emerging, Ricochet surprisingly broke character and sided with Moxley. In a now-deleted tweet, the former WWE star wrote:
“We live in a world of pu**ies.”
The one thing that will surprise everyone here is Ricochet picking a side. Ever since turning heel, he has used social media to talk down to almost everyone in wrestling. With this interaction, there may be some potential for the former WWE stars to team up in the future.
