AEW's broadcast partner, Warner Brothers Discovery, is set to undergo some major reorganization. Now, a report has emerged on how this move could affect the Tony Khan-led promotion's deal with the global media giant.

Sometime earlier, it was announced that WBD would be splitting into two separate entities, with one focusing on the company's studios and streaming business while the other will house its cable television networks. The streaming and studios brand is set to be headed by CEO David Zaslav, whereas CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels will supposedly lead the networks unit.

The announcement had naturally raised questions as to what its implications may be with respect to All Elite Wrestling. However, BJ Bethel of SEScoops has now shared in a report that the WBD split is unlikely to affect its current agreement with AEW, according to a source.

The Jacksonville-based promotion inked a new, reportedly quite lucrative, multi-year deal with Warner Brothers Discovery last year. As per the terms of the contract, the wrestling company's weekly television shows, Dynamite and Collision, have been simulcast on TBS/TNT and MAX since the start of 2025.

Furthermore, it was reported earlier this year that the promotion's major pay-per-view events between 2020 and 2024 would be made available for streaming.

Match card for AEW's upcoming TV special

This week in Portland, Oregon, AEW will be hosting a new four-hour television special, dubbed Summer Blockbuster, in the Theater of the Clouds at Moda Center. The following matches and segments have been announced for the show so far:
