Yesterday, WrestlePurists reported on Buddy Matthews' future in AEW and revealed that he had signed a new deal with the promotion. It was also mentioned that Malakai's contract was also nearing its end.
PWInsider reported an update regarding the House of Black members' contracts. It mentioned that Matthews' deal came to be back in February. As for Malakai Black, his current deal will continue into 2025. The outlet also debunked rumors that he was headed to WWE, saying these were baseless.

Buddy Matthews was recently written off TV due to his personal commitment, which meant that the House of Black has had to deal with affairs as a duo with Malakai and Brody King.
Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black are set to remain with AEW for the near future, so their return as a trio may be imminent.
The faction also has a future world trios title opportunity after pinning the Bang Bang Gang, the champions at the time. Now that The Patriarchy holds the titles, the House of Black could go after them next.

Enzo is a Pro Wrestling journalist at Sportskeeda, reporting on AEW. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Studies, which influenced his decision of taking up sports writing professionally, and has been an avid fan of the athletic theater since childhood. He believes readers deserve authentic and unique content and aims to report in a manner which pro wrestling fans can easily relate to.
Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
Other than pro wrestling, Enzo enjoys keeping up with Basketball, Football, and Formula One. He also loves watching films, playing video games, and listening to music.
