How to discover named locations near Mega City in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived and gamers can't wait to visit the new Mega City point of interest to rack up some kills as well as earn a Victory Royale. With this update comes a fresh biome in the island's southeast corner, one that offers a futuristic spin on the traditional Japanese Sakura aesthetic.

Many new weapons, vehicles, and objects have also been added to the game, which completely alters its style of play. To help players quickly progress through their Battle Pass and obtain the newest cosmetic items, several different quests/challenges have been provided to try out the new content.

Since the Supercharged XP boost will remain in effect for a long time, players should make the most of this opportunity to quickly level themselves up by completing quests. Discovering named locations — the largest areas in Fortnite — near Mega City on the game's island is required for one such challenge. Here's how you can complete it.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 quest guide: Discover named locations near Mega City

The latest Week 0 questline is currently active in-game and helps players familiarize themselves with the new season. One of its challenges necessitates discovering the latest biome and named locations near the Mega City POI. You can attempt to complete this mission in Battle Royale or Zero Build modes to obtain 12,000 XP and level up your Battle Pass.

To efficiently complete this quest in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, follow these steps:

1) Open the Quests tab to check the number of locations you must visit and head to the one marked in red

Head to the Quests tab on the Fortnite home screen, which is currently located next to Battle Pass, and click on Season. Once you've done so, you'll see a new Week 0 list below the Syndicate Questline, which will show you several missions that you can complete to level up faster.

The Mega City will possibly expand more throughout Season 2 as the version we've currently got is very different to that showed by Epic in trailers. #FortniteMEGA

Click on the one that asks you to discover named locations near Mega City. Upon doing so, the title will show you a pin of several locations on its map that you must visit to complete the challenge. Head to the one marked in red to begin the quest.

2) Land on the first location and discover it as Knotty Nets

As soon as you proceed towards this marked location in the extreme southeast corner of the island, it will be discovered as Knotty Nets, one of the latest POIs added to Mega City. This will be one-third of the quest in terms of how much you'll have to do to complete it. After visiting this spot, you will have to go to two more locations to discover them.

3) Land on the second marked location on the mini-map and discover it as Kenjutsu Crossing

Once you've discovered Knotty Nets, go towards the southwest marker on your mini-map. Upon reaching the marked location, you will notice the place will be revealed as Kenjutsu Crossing. It is currently one of the most popular POIs in the game and is highly inspired by traditional Japanese architecture.

4) Land on the final marked location, Steamy Springs, to complete the quest

Once you have discovered the two locations, move on to the final one that lies between Mega City and Frenzy Fields. This location can easily be spotted between a forest full of Cherry Blossom trees.

Upon nearing the marked spot, the area will be identified as Steamy Springs, one of the final named POIs in the Mega City biome on the Fortnite island. As soon as you reach here, your quest will be marked as completed, and you will be granted 12,000 XP, which will be added to your account level.
