Where to fix data receivers in Fortnite

With the second season of Fortnite Chapter 4 finally here, it has brought along a slew of new features. Shortly after the update officially went live, loopers flocked to the newly added Mega City POI and its neighboring locations, all of which feature a futuristic take on the Japanese Sakura esthetic.

With access to a wide variety of items, including new guns, vehicles, and interesting ways to navigate around the island, players can now defeat their foes in style, letting them obtain a more satisfying and comprehensive Victory Royale.

Furthermore, the new season has brought a new range of quests for players to complete, all of which contributes to their overall Battle Pass levels and unlock all of the rewards that it entails.

Since the Supercharged XP boost will remain in effect for a long period of time, players should make the most of this opportunity to quickly level up their Battle Passes by completing quests. Fixing data receivers throughout the Fortnite island is required for one such quest. Here's how you can complete it.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 Quest Guide: Fix Data Receivers

The latest Syndicate Questline introduces players to the characters of the newest in-game faction on the Chapter 4 Season 2 island. One of these quests tasks players with fixing data receivers all over the island. Loopers can attempt to finish this mission in the Battle Royale or Zero Build modes to obtain 15,000 XP and level up their Battle Passes.

To efficiently complete this quest in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, follow these steps:

1) Open the Quests tab to check the number of data receivers you must fix and their locations

Head to the Quests tab on the Fortnite home screen, which is currently located next to the Battle Pass and click on Season. Once you've done so, you will see a new Syndicate Quests list above Week 0 that will show you several stages of the quests that you must complete.

When you reach Stage 5, a quest will appear, requiring you to restore two data receivers on the Fortnite island. These can be found in three different locations on the island. While the first one is near Anvil Square, the other two are close to the newly added Mega City POI.

2) Land at the marked location to find the first data receiver

The first receiver is located on top of the mountain that's situated east of the Mega City POI, as marked on the Fortnite map above. Head to this spot and locate the first data receiver that you need to begin this quest.

3) Walk closer to the broken receiver and fix it

Once you land, you will see a glowing heap of dirt with a broken receiver concealed inside it. Walk closer and interact with this item to fix it.

Once you're done with the current interaction, you'll see that the initial data receiver has been repaired. One of the two broken data receivers will be marked as 'done' on the mission progress bar after it's been repaired.

4) Land at the marked location to find the second data receiver

The second receiver is located southeast of Anvil Square in a trough between two hills, as marked on the Fortnite map above. Head to the designated spot and find the second data receiver that you need to complete this quest.

5) Walk closer to the receiver to fix it and complete the quest

As soon as you land in the marked location, you will see another heap of dirt that glows and conceals a broken data receiver within. Walk closer and interact with the heap to fix the final receiver in order to complete this Stage 5 Syndicate Quest.

Once you've done this for all three receivers, you'll now be able to see the fixed receiver successfully mounted on the ground and your quest progress bar will mark it as complete, granting you 15,000 XP as a reward.

These fixed receivers can now receive transmissions from the Peace Syndicate that will introduce themselves to the players, potentially looping them into this season's futuristic lore and their purpose on the island.
