Epic Games has now published its first video teaser for the forthcoming season. It is giving players a preview of numerous new additions they can expect to see when the game goes live following a five-to-six-hour downtime tomorrow.

The teaser not only introduces players to a futuristic POI, but also to the season's official name, MEGA, which is the subject of much speculation. Loopers also had a sight of the Grid Rails running across the area, giving the impression of a Cyberpunk metropolis complete with skyscrapers and giant holograms.

The latest Fortnite trailer previews a fresh new POI called Mega City, which will be introduced to the Chapter 4 map. Many modes of transportation and cherry blossom trees will be available in this Cyberpunk-inspired cityscape.

Fortnite's hyper-realistic visuals in this teaser are a result of the combination of Unreal Engine 5.1 and Lumen, which makes the game itself appear great.

Similar to the Roller Coaster Tracks in the Rave Cave from Chapter 3, Mega City is illuminated by brilliant lights and spread out across a vast area. It will be connected by Grid Rails, which will introduce players to a new Grinding mechanic.

The map will also have life-size holograms of Fortnite characters that players may recognize from the Party Royale mode. These will be prominently displayed next to recognizable landmarks at the POI, and they will be animated to further emphasize the futuristic theme of the area.

There will also be a helipad at the POI, leading some to believe that the game's Chopper vehicle, last utilized by players in Chapter 2, may return. The video also showed a new vehicle resembling a futuristic bike that will be introduced to the island, allowing loopers to cruise around Mega City in style.

Yet, as was hinted at for a split second in the trailer, an entirely new armory of weaponry will also find its way into the game. These rumors were confirmed towards the conclusion of the teaser, when the characters were seen holding brand new Shotguns, Assault Rifles, and Pistols.

Players have waited a long time for a viable replacement to the standard Pump Shotgun, and the latest one might prove to be it. The Mythic Waist Grappler, which will be Eren Yeager's weapon in the Attack on Titan crossover, has also been announced.

Other skins from the Battle Pass, with skulls and neon accents, were also displayed. One thing that all of the teaser's characters had in common, though, was that they all carried Katanas. Many believe that the Katana will be a melee weapon rather than a pickaxe when it is eventually added to the game.

The game will go offline for maintenance at 2 am ET on March 10, 2023. At that point, the cinematic and Battle Pass trailers will be made available to players.
