Ronda Rousey could certainly shake things up at the Rumble

While most of the men's field has already been disclosed (there is a bit of speculation with regard to whether or not The Undertaker/Edge will be a part of the event), one thing that we know for sure is that there will be a lot more surprises when it comes to the women of WWE. And with that in mind, I bring you 5 women who could ideally enter the fray at the Number 30 spot.

Be sure to leave a comment and let me know if you think these women are likely to enter at Number 30 or not. I would love to hear your take on the same, reader.

#5 Ronda Rousey

A lot of people want to see Ronda Rousey return at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this year. While it is not known whether she will be back, one thing that's for sure is that if she does return, then she will definitely be booked very strongly in the Royal Rumble. Ronda Rousey has always been portrayed as a big deal, winning the RAW Women's Championship in no time at all, when she arrived in WWE.

Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch at WrestleMania would certainly be a very big match indeed, especially if you consider that the two women haven't had a singles match yet. Charlotte Flair was added to the mix at WrestleMania and some felt that it watered down a lot of the heat from what could have been a power-packed singles encounter between the biggest stars of the current WWE Women's Division.

#4 Ruby Riott

Now, speaking of Ronda Rousey, as great as her reign of dominance in WWE was, a lot of people felt that when she ruled the roost, it was a one-woman division. If not for her, Ruby Riott may have become the RAW Women's Champion already is what a lot of fans believe.

Not long ago, rumors surfaced that Ruby Riott would be in the area during the Royal Rumble match, and it would make all the sense in the world to have her show up in the Number 30 spot as a massive surprise. In case Becky Lynch is able to knock off Asuka during the Royal Rumble, she will need a new heel to work with all the way until WrestleMania, and I believe Ruby Riott could fulfill this role quite well.

There is no possibility for a brand new Riott Squad with Liv Morgan in the position that she is in right now. Sarah Logan is doing her own thing too, and this allows Ruby Riott to do her own thing, break out and become a big singles star even if she loses the Royal Rumble!

#3 Nia Jax

In a lot of cases, a storyline has to be manufactured between two WWE Superstars to build to their match. However, in the case of Becky Lynch and Nia Jax, there's already a storyline in place from the time that Nia Jax destroyed Becky Lynch's face, allowing blood to stream down in an unforgettable shot that few will ever forget; one of the most iconic images of this current era.

The women's division on RAW, as strong as it is, is lacking a few women I feel, and Nia Jax could certainly elevate the same with her presence, I do believe. There is no woman in the WWE roster with the build and the physique that Nia Jax has and we all know that she also has the lineage and the pedigree of top WWE Superstars.

Rumors have surfaced about her being in the same area where the Royal Rumble is taking place. Chances are high that she will show up.

And if she enters at the Number 30 spot, chances are high that she could certainly win the whole Rumble match.

#2 Becky Lynch

I know that this may be a repeat of last year, but it is still a very probable scenario. Becky Lynch is very invested in her storyline with Asuka, portraying the Empress of Tomorrow as the only woman in the world that The Man is unable to defeat and conquer. And hence, I would not be all that surprised if Becky Lynch succumbs to Asuka during the course of her match and then enters the Royal Rumble again, to win the whole thing again.

In this way, the Asuka storyline can be resolved at WrestleMania which gives the whole plot some time and some scope to breathe, I guess. There are often many complaints that WWE storylines are not allowed to breathe but in this manner, this is a story that can extend and stretch all the way to the show of shows. Becky Lynch vs. Asuka at WrestleMania may just become a much bigger deal than it is, at the moment, if Asuka becomes the RAW Women's Champion.

#1 Beth Phoenix

While there may be a lot of speculation with regard to Edge returning for the Royal Rumble, it may indeed be his better half who does! There are rumors galore that Beth Phoenix will be making her return at the Royal Rumble, in a move that should go down well with the WWE Universe.

Even though Phoenix is one of the most celebrated WWE Superstars of her time, she has reinvented herself and is currently the voice of the NXT brand. As we saw recently, she is still very good in the ring and can still go at the highest level.

I think it's very unlikely indeed that Beth Phoenix goes on and wins the entire Royal Rumble but maybe she could have an altercation with someone like Charlotte Flair, that develops and snowballs into a full-fledged feud for WrestleMania 36. Charlotte Flair really needs a strong feud and this could be just what the doctor ordered for her.
