Due to Bryan's absence, WWE has changed the plans for Kofi at Money in the Bank. Reports suggest that the two were set to have a rematch at the May per-per-view, but as the former champion was out injured, WWE replaced him with Kevin Owens.

After missing a few weeks, Daniel Bryan is set for a return. The former WWE Champion was sidelined with an injury, but WWE managed to keep the details of it a secret.

He was backstage at SmackDown Live this week but was not used despite being advertised for the show. Reports suggest that if his return was a week earlier, WWE would not have turned Kevin Owens heel this early.

What’s next?

Bryan has been advertised to be a part of a triple-threat match for the WWE Championship next week in Dublin. WWE are set for their European tour next week onwards, and the match is set to take place at a Live Event on 9th May.

Kofi Kingston will be putting the title on the line vs Daniel Bryan and his MITB opponent, Kevin Owens. He is expected to retain the title but the match could be the stepping stone to adding Bryan in the match at Money in the Bank as well.
