WWE Super ShowDown 2019: 5 Potential finishes for Seth Rollins vs Baron Corbin - Universal Championship

Seth Rollins steps up to a familiar challenger this Friday night when Baron Corbin challenges for the Universal Championship as part of the company's trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Corbin and Rollins have crossed paths a number of times in recent months including as part of a feud that included The Shield, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre, but this time around Rollins will be forced to go it alone.

Corbin may be seen as a pushover since he's the former Constable of Monday Night Raw, but Rollins was attacked by Brock Lesnar on Raw this past week and stretched out of the arena, so currently he's not expected to be at one hundred percent by Friday and will still be looking over his shoulder for The Beast in the Bank instead of focusing on the match at hand.

#5 Baron Corbin becomes the new Universal Champion

Will Baron Corbin leave Jeddah as the Universal Champion?

Baron Corbin has held the Money in the Bank contract before and he's well aware that if he's able to claim victory over Seth Rollins on Friday night then Brock Lesnar will move the target over to his back instead.

That being said, Corbin lost the chance to become WWE Champion when he cashed in his case on Jinder Mahal and was then thwarted by John Cena a few years ago, so he won't be missing an opportunity to become World Champion again.

A weakened Seth Rollins is perfect for Baron Corbin who will come in and try to take the scraps that are left by the Beast Incarnate. Rollins is a fighting Champion and despite how he feels after Raw, he will still be part of the show in The Middle East, but knowing that he will be less than one hundred percent, it's hard to see him coming out on top against both Lesnar and Corbin in the same night.

#4 Brock Lesnar cashes in - causes a disqualification

Will Brock Lesnar cash in his contract mid-match?

This may be Baron Corbin's chance to become Universal Champion for the first time in his career, but Brock Lesnar has never much cared about anyone but himself. The former Champion destroyed Rollins on Raw but then refused to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on the Champion, instead insisting that he will cash it in on Friday.

This could be another way for WWE to get eyes on their product when they travel to Saudi Arabia, or Lesnar could actually appear just as Rollins is about to secure the victory over Baron Corbin and force the disqualification.

Rollins would then be forced to fight off Lesnar as well, which would be much harder for the Champion than it was back at WrestleMania when it could be argued that he was in the shape of his career.

#3 Seth Rollins retains the Universal Championship

There's a good chance that Seth Rollins could retain his Universal Championship at Jed

Seth Rollins has already defeated Baron Corbin a number of times, he really has nothing left to prove in the ring against The Lone Wolf, but somehow he's managed to secure himself a Championship match, which should be an easy outing for Rollins.

As already stated, Brock Lesnar has claimed that he will cash in his contract on Friday night, but he hasn't declared who against, Paul Heyman was the one who revealed it would be against Rollins for the WWE Championship but the reason he didn't cash in on Raw could be because he doesn't want to challenge Rollins for the Universal Championship at all.

Seth Rollins could be able to leave Jeddah with his Championship around his waist if Lesnar decides to cash in on Kofi Kingston instead.

#2 Brock Lesnar cashes in post-match

It's highly unlikely since The Beast proved back at WrestleMania that he isn't a fan of having to wait, but there is always the option that either Seth Rollins or Baron Corbin will come out on top in the Middle East and Brock Lesnar will then swoop in and challenge the winner.

The more likely scenario is that he interferes in the match and takes out both men before looking to reclaim his Championship, but this is an option and it would mean that Lesnar has picked the perfect moment to strike since Rollins will be less than a hundred percent after the beating that he endured on Monday night. After a lengthy match against Baron Corbin, Rollins will be ripe for a cash in if this is the plan that Lesnar decides to go with.

#1 Kofi Kingston interference

Kofi Kingston could be the man to help Seth Rollins retain at Jeddah

Kofi Kingston has his own issues with Brock Lesnar, so if The Beast in The Bank does decide to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, don't be surprised if Kingston makes his way to the ring and causes the disqualification.

Lesnar isn't expected to successfully cash in his contract, but there are rumors that there could be a unification match for the Universal and WWE Championships down the line since the Wild Card Rule has now basically brought an end to the brand split.

If Kingston interferes in a cash-in attempt to cause the disqualification then it's likely that at some point down the line there could be a triple threat match between all three men, potentially at this year's SummerSlam that will lead to the unification of WWE's two world championships.
