Baron Corbin may just be the most hated person on WWE television. And that is just a testimony to
how good a heel he is, every week.
Baron Corbin is one of the few WWE superstars who did not come up through the independent
wrestling circuit. Not only is he a former offensive lineman in the NFL (for the Arizona Cardinals and
the Indianapolis Colts), he is also a Golden Gloves Champion. He is also a former grappling
champion. However, all his exploits eventually led him to WWE.
Baron Corbin was one of the mainstays at NXT during his time in the developmental brand. His most
famous feuds in developmental were with Rhyno and with Austin Aries. He also had a very heated
feud with Apollo Crews, that led to Corbin defeating Crews in London.
Baron Corbin made a very big debut, when he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at
WrestleMania. He was drafted to SmackDown Live, where he went on to become the United States
Champion. He also won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017 but could not cash it in. At
WrestleMania 34, Baron Corbin made it to the final 2 of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
again but was eliminated by Woken Matt Hardy.
After being drafted into the RAW brand, Baron Corbin changed up his look and become the
Constable for the brand. As a heel Authority Figure, he also became the acting RAW General
Manager after Kurt Angle was sent away on vacation. His best remembered feud was one with Braun
Strowman. Corbin also formed a loose stable with Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush. He
was relieved of his duties after the McMahon family assumed control.
