Tatsuki Fujimoto is the mangaka of the Chainsaw Man manga/anime series. He was born in Nikaho, Akita Prefecture, Japan, on October 10, 1992, or 1993. He began drawing when he was quite young. Since there were no nearby preparatory institutions, he practised oil painting in painting workshops attended by his grandparents. In 2014, he received his degree in Western painting from Yamagata, Yamagata Prefecture's Tohoku University of Art and Design.

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Career

Following graduation, Fujimoto participated in multiple one-shot competitions for the Manga Awards Contents, winning a few and drawing attention from ONE and Sui Ishida. Later, Jump+ or Jump SQ.19 magazine republished his oneshots. Fujimoto's debut one-shot tale "Love is Blind" garnered him Honourable Mentions at the Shueisha Crown Newcomers' Awards in November 2013.

In 2016, Tatsuki launched his debut serialisation of the Fire Punch on the Jump+ website, which ran for eight volumes. Tatsuki released a new oneshot titled Imouto no Ane in Jump SQ 2018-06 Issue following the conclusion of Fire Punch's serialisation.

He began a fresh serialisation of Chainsaw Man in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, and it ran there until 2020 when it moved to the internet magazine Shonen Jump+, where it is now serialised. There are currently 17 Tankōbon volumes available that combine the series.
