Demon Lord 2099 episode 7 recap
Picking up the events from the previous installment, Demon Lord 2099 episode 7 kicks off with Veltol saving Machina from falling into the Immortal Furnace. Marcus appears agitated. He mocks Veltol, asking whether he's happy to have fans fawning over him.
Veltol doesn't say much. Instead, he asks Marcus whether he has any excuses for harming his vassal. The Demon Lord also gives Marcus a second chance to redeem himself. However, the evil dark peer rejects Veltol's offers since he considers himself the new Demon Lord.
A fight begins, where Marcus demonstrates his Familia's powers against Veltol. The Demon Lord parries the dark peer's attacks, but they get overwhelming soon. Marcus's successive attacks pulverize Veltol, and he feels like he won. However, Veltol remains calm. With an eerie assurance, Veltol thanks Marcus for pushing him to his limits.
The episode then shows Veltol awakening to his royal vestige, a form that only Gram the Hero has seen before. Veltol gains further power with Takahashi's help, who hacks into almost every digital screen in Shinjuku to play Veltol's stream. With new admirers, Veltol's power skyrockets, and he assumes a dragon-like form.
Fear seeps into Marcus's body as he witnesses the Demon Lord's royal, resurrected form. He realizes his Familia powers have also been rendered useless. With no way to fight back, Marcus begs for mercy. However, Veltol had already given him a chance, which he let go.
Veltol then picks up Marcus and throws him to the Immortal Furnace to ensure the aether reactor's operation. The dark peer's body disintegrates, and his soul becomes a fuel to power Shinjuku. Elsewhere, Gram the Hero defeats every mecha opponent. The episode ends with Veltol reassuming his human form and embracing Machina, his loyal subordinate.
