Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian season 2 has been green-lit for production. This was announced by the anime's official staff with a PV, following the season 1 finale, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. According to the announcement, the sequel will continue the adaptation from volume 4 onwards.
The Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian anime is based on author SunSunSun and illustrator Momoco's eponymous Japanese light novel series. Kadokawa Shoten serializes the light novels under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, publishing nine volumes thus far. A manga adaptation with Saho Tenamichi's illustrations is serialized on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket application.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the official website and X account for the rom-com anime shared a 15-second announcement promotional video to confirm the production of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian season 2. The announcement came right after the season 1 finale.
The short clip captures the memorable moments from the season and showcases the captivating chemistry between Alisa Mikhailvona Kujo, aka Alya, and Masachika Kuze. Besides them, the 15-second-long PV depicts Yuki Suou, Ayano Kimishima, and Maria.
Along with this announcement PV, the official staff has shared comments from SunSunSun, the author of the original light novels. SunSunSun expressed their gratitude to every fan and asked them to look forward to Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian season 2, which will cover the light novel from volume 4 onwards.
According to the author's comments, it's also confirmed that the sequel will adapt the Summer Vacation arc. Moreover, the sequel will show Masachika and Alya participating in multiple fun-filled events.
The anime's official X handle has also shared celebratory illustrations from the manga adaptation's illustrator, Saho Tenamichi, and the light novels' artist, Momoco. Tenamichi-san's drawn visual for Alya depicts her in a traditional Japanese kimono, with an obi around her waist.
She is seen enjoying bursting crackers while wearing a playful smile. The illustration looks impressive, with a setting sun and the serene ocean behind her as the background. Likewise, Momoco sensei's illustration shows Alya, dressed in her school uniform, making a victory sign.
Although Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian season 2 has been confirmed, the official staff didn't disclose a release date. Moreover, no details regarding the cast and staff were revealed for season 2 either. Yet, the previous cast members are expected to reprise their roles.
Sumire Uesaka stars as Alya in the anime, while Kohei Amasaki voices Masachika Kuze. Wakana Maruoka plays the role of Yuki Suou, with Yukiyo Fuji as Maria Mikhailovna Kujo.
Ryota Ito directed and wrote the scripts for season 1 at Doga Kobo Studios, with Yuhei Murota as the character designer and chief animation director. Ryo Kobayashi was credited as the series producer, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi handled the music production.

As evident from SunsunSun's comments, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian season 2 will explore the Summer Vacation arc, where Masachika and Alya will spend some more time away from their regular school life. Aside from studying at Masachika's place, the duo will create more memories together.
The sequel will also show Masachika and Alya going to the beach along with the other student council members, like Yuki, Maria, and others. As such, fans can expect a fascinating narrative for season 2.
