Bleach TYBW Part 2 to hold pre-screening in June 2023

Fans of the popular anime series Bleach will get a chance to watch the first two episodes of Bleach TYBW Part 2 ahead of its official release date. This comes as a respite to many, as they were eagerly awaiting the return of the Thousand Year Blood War Arc, which will resume with a second installment in July 2023.

Bleach TYBW part 2 will focus on the story of Uryu Ishida, who joins the Wandenreich, a group of Quincy who are at war with the Soul Society. Ichigo Kurosaki, meanwhile, will undergo a new training to obtain a new Zanpakuto and face off against Yhwach, the leader of the Wandenreich and the progenitor of all Quincy.


Early screening across theaters in Japan to showcase Bleach TYBW Part 2

It has been officially announced that Bleach TYBW Part 2 will hold a pre-screening event in June 2023 at select theaters all over Japan. The event will feature the premiere of episode 14 and 15 as well as a talk show with Seiichi Morita (playing Ichigo Kurosaki), Noriaki Sugiyama (playing Uryu Ishida), Yuichiro Umehara (Eugram Hashwald), and Takeuchi Shunsuke (Askin Knucklevaal).

The talk show is said to reveal exclusive stories about production and post recording that is sure to entice fans. The timings for Bleach TYBW Part 2 premiere will differ by theatres all over the country, with the live happening at the main stage on Sunday, June 25, at 5:30pm JST.

Bleach TYBW Part 2 will air in July 2023 as part of the summer anime season. Fans can watch the anime on Crunchyroll and Viz Media, which stream the episodes simultaneously with Japan.

The second part of the arc will also introduce new characters and enemies, such as the Sternritter, a group of elite Quincy who possess special abilities assigned by Yhwach. Some of them are Bazz-B (the Heat), Askin Nakk Le Vaar (the Deathdealing), and Giselle Gewelle (the Zombie).

Bleach TYBW is an anime adaptation of the final arc of the Bleach manga by Tite Kubo, which ran from 2001 to 2016. The anime series returned in October 2022 after an eight-year hiatus, with Studio Pierrot producing the animation. The first part of the arc covered 62 chapters of the manga, from volume 55 to volume 60.

The popular anime and manga series follows the story of a teenager named Ichigo Kurosaki who gains the powers of a Shinigami after accidentally acquiring them from a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki. The series has a unique blend of action, comedy, drama, and supernatural.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is based on the final story arc of Tite Kubo's manga. The plot of the series revolves around the arrival of the Quincy army, which is led by the powerful and enigmatic Yhwach to invade Soul Society and destroy the Soul King, the keystone of the balance between the worlds of the living and the dead.
