Every year, the Vodafone Premier League begins with a bang. The fans come out to support their favourite team, cheer for their most loved players and scream at the top of their lungs at every smash.
But this year, Vodafone took it to the next level at the Premier Badminton League.
The badminton fans were in for a surprise as they witnessed an exclusive face-off between a Paralympian, Girish Sharma, and world ranker and former World No. 4 Srikanth Kidambi. For the very first time in the history of the sport in India, a para-athlete displayed his moves at the Vodafone Premier Badminton League.
With his swift moves and immense sportsman spirit, Girish surprised Srikanth on the court. Srikanth was all smiles and lauded Girish for his moves and was mesmerised at the way the para-athlete glided across the court.
At the end of this exciting match, Srikant admitted that the experience was quite humbling and unique in equal measure. He was left enthralled with not only Girish's grace but also his spectacular badminton skills.
This is the fourth edition of the marquee tournament and there was enough and more for the fans to soak-in and become a part of the Vodafone Premier Badminton League experience.
The SuperFan contest gave its fans once in a lifetime opportunity to meet with their favourite players, get a shuttlecock signed from the winning player and appear on TV along with Vodafone Zoozoo.
