New York Yankees legend Bernie Williams excessively praised Aaron Judge for his 62nd home run record.

However, he also ended up dismissing the legitimacy of Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. In an interview with Entrepreneur.com, Williams was asked about various things from his post MLB life to his differing opinion on things.

One of the questions that the interviewer asked was this:

"Considering fellow Yankee, Aaron Judge's, historic single-season homerun odyssey, [at the time of this interview, Judge had drilled 60 dingers], do you believe the benchmark to beat is Roger Maris's 61 or Barry Bonds' steroid-clouded 73?"

To answer this question, Williams gave the following response:

"I think it's 61. Look, as much I like Barry, [Mark] McGuire and [Sammy] Sosa? It seems like they did something they are not supposed to do. In my opinion? I'll take 61".

Williams was also part of the Yankees team that won the World Series Championship Title four times.

Aaron Judge hit his 62nd home run in 2022, naming him the 6th person ever to do it. Making him suppress Roger Maris for the AL home run record.

On October 4, 2022, Aaron Judge made history by hitting his 62nd home run. Making him the 6th person ever in MLB to make such an achievement. This home run was made off of the pitch played by Jesús Tinoco of the Texas Rangers.

When news broke that the ball would be auctioned at $3 million, Judge replied with a humorous comment to the rumors of him burning the ball by saying:

"Oh, no. I haven't signed my free-agent deal yet, so I think that's a little out of my price range right now"

Corey Youmans, who had caught the ball, refused the $3 million offer and instead decided to sell it to auction. The ball then sold for $1.5 million. Judge later became the 16th captain of the Yankees team after Derek Jeter in 2022 and signed a nine-year contract of $360 million dollars with the team.

In an interview with ESPN, the owner only had good things to say about Judge. Hal Steinbrenner said.:

"It's difficult to imagine the Yankees without Aaron," Yankees owner

Judge will be getting ready for the 2023 season with his team. This will be his first season as a captain.
