Opening Day is finally here. New York Yankees fans without a cable subscription have the option to watch YES Network direct-to-consumer and stream all the Yankees' games this season.

For years, sports fans who wanted to watch the Network’s coverage of Yankees games were required to have a cable subscription. However, starting in 2023, YES Network launched a direct-to-consumer streaming service.

This makes it possible for non-cable subscribers to watch the Yankees, the Brooklyn Nets and the WNBA's New York Liberty.

YES Network DTC service pricing options

The Network’s DTC subscription service will cost $24.99 per month or $239.99 per year. However, YES Network is offering a promotional rate of $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year if subscribers sign up before the end of April. The service is available immediately to fans in YES regional coverage territory.

The introduction of YES Network DTC subscription service follows similar moves by other regional sports networks, such as Diamond Sports Group. This operates 21 Bally Sports regional sports networks and MSG Networks.

Network’s CEO Jon Litner said that the new DTC offering would allow the network to broaden its reach by making YES available to more fans than ever before. Yankees Entertainment and Sports is co-owned by the New York Yankees, Amazon, and Sinclair Broadcast Group.

YES’ subscription service will provide access to everything on the channel, including Yankees, Nets, and Liberty games. However, it is important to note that the product is only for people who live in the area covered by YES. Fans who live outside of that area can still watch the team on MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings.

The Yankees are expected to return as AL East Champions for the 2023 season.
