A lot is happening in the Dodgers' homeland, LA. Pride Month becomes a public point of discussion every year; however, something else has been blown out of proportion in the LA community this time.
The city is facing massive protests after large-scale immigration sweeps across LA were conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Reports of violent clashes across the state have caused civil unrest.
Amid this whirlwind, the Los Angeles and San Francisco players wore special Pride-themed caps during Friday night’s game at Dodger Stadium. This was in support of the LGBTQ+ community.

The custom hats featured the teams’ traditional logos with the rainbow flag, a nod to Pride Month and, more specifically, Pride Night at the ballpark. Players from both teams wore the caps.
The Dodgers and Giants have historically been among the more progressive MLB clubs when it comes to LGBTQ+ visibility.
LA fans receive major update ahead of Dodgers-Giants rivalry series
A curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. has been enforced in downtown LA to take control of the unrest in the city. The Dodgers and the Giants players are in LA for the three-game series starting Friday night.
While Dodger Stadium falls outside the designated curfew zone, the route to the stadium doesn't. As such, authorities have provided a relieving update for those coming to downtown's Union Station within the restricted hours.
"The Dodger Stadium Express is scheduled to operate normally this weekend, even as the bus departs from and arrives at an area subject to curfew restrictions," Bill Shaikin said via the Los Angeles Times.
"The service, which provides fans a free ride between Union Station and Dodger Stadium, 'will be running per usual,' Metro senior director of communications Missy Colman said.
While things are expected to return to normal, the situation seems heightened as of now. Players have also been asked to restrict their movements between hotel rooms and the stadium.
