Freddie Freeman's wife, Chelsea, reacted to the Dodgers star's first home run since an unexpected family emergency break, which saw him off the roster for eight games since the resumption of the league after the All-Star break.
On Friday at Dodger Stadium, Freeman crushed the 16th home run of his 2024 campaign, which was a looping line drive toward the shallow seats in the right field.
Chelsea Freeman celebrated the hit by posting a story on her Instagram account with the caption:
"MAXSTRONG"
The Freeman family has been going through a difficult time since their son Maximus came down with a rare neurological syndrome that has hindered his mobility since the All-Star week. Little Max was diagnosed with a rare disorder known as Guillain-Barre syndrome, which is all the more rare in children of his age.
Since the diagnosis, Chelsea has shared multiple stories and posts educating the masses about this rare syndrome via her Instagram handle. Before Freddie Freeman rejoined the Dodgers roster for Game 1 of a three-game series against the Phillies on Monday, his wife shared a positive update on Maximus Turner via a post on IG with the caption:
"After 8 long days in the Pediatric ICU we are officially HOME! Max still has a long road ahead of him to regain his strength and relearn how to walk. But we are so thankful to have our family back together. Thank you God for this miracle.
"Also, thank you to our incredible team of doctors and angel nurses for taking such good care of our boy. And to our village for helping so much with Charlie and Brandon. #MaxStrong #GBS #gbsawareness #gbssurvivor"
Freddie Freeman's wife, Chelsea, shared what helped her keep calm during her son Max's medical condition
Freddie Freeman's wife took to her Instagram story to share how she coped with and kept calm during her son Max's rare neurological condition. She captioned her story as:
"Classical music and candles have been a few things that have helped keep me calm recently... thank you @linenandflaxco."
So far this season, Freddie Freeman has been highly consistent with his at-bats for the Dodgers. He is batting with an average of.289, with 16 home runs, 7 RBIs, and.884 OPS in 2024, and the ballclub will hope that he continues his positive form at the plate for the remainder of the campaign.
