It has been a year to remember for Freddie Freeman. The LA Dodgers first baseman has not only added another championship title to his Hall of Fame resume but he was also named the MVP of the World Series. Freeman had a performance for the ages, clobbering home run after home run, cementing himself in the Dodgers' history books.
Although Freeman might be winning on the field, he may be winning even more off of it. The Dodgers superstar might be one of the best players in the MLB but he is a family man before everything else. Freddie and his beautiful wife Chelsea are the parents of three young boys: Charlie, Max, and Brandon, as well as a loving cat named Champ.
It was Champ who stole the show on Chelsea Freeman's social media, as the adorable cat received all the love and praise on her Instagram story. The cute tabby cat can be seen in the story with Charlie, as Chelsea gushes over how much he means to the family.
"Champ is the sweetest! He lets all of the kids hold him and sleeps right next to Charlie every night," Chelsea captioned.
Although the Dodgers have gotten praise for winning the World Series, their pets have been getting more attention. From Freeman's cat Champ to Shohei Ohtani's dog Decoy, the Dodgers might also have an All-MLB pet team in the making.
Chelsea and Freddie Freeman faced a significant health scare earlier this year involving their son Max
Even though the Freemans capped off the playing season with a World Series title, the couple faced one of the scariest moments for parents. Their son Max was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome.
Guillain–Barré syndrome affects the body's nervous system, and in some cases, can cause paralysis. After several days, Max was released from the hospital and was able to return home. While he may be home now, Freddie explained that he still has a long road ahead of him but Max is expected to make a full recovery.
