The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second World Series title in four years and eighth overall by beating the New York Yankees in five games last month. The celebrations from the NL West team's World Series win haven't died down as manager Dave Roberts and pitcher Jack Flaherty, who was part of the 2024 roster, paraded the Commissioner's Trophy at SoFi Stadium for the Los Angeles Chargers game against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.
Flaherty rocked a chic brown co-ed set as he caught up with Roberts at the stadium. The duo also posed for a picture as Flaherty held the Commissioner's Trophy with Jaleel White, known for his portrayal of Steve Urkel on the hit sitcom "Family Matters."
"There's my guy. Can we take a picture? Come on Jack, get in the middle," Roberts said while hugging the pitcher before posing for the picture.
The Dodgers manager, who added a second World Series ring to his managerial resume, also sounded the "Bolt up" siren before kickoff at the SoFi Stadium.
Roberts also met NFL Hall of Famer and Chargers legend LaDainian Tomlinson.
Dodgers among the teams linked with Jack Flaherty in free agency
Jack Flaherty was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Dodgers at the trade deadline. It proved to be an important acquisition for the Dodgers as Flaherty was often called upon during the regular season amid injuries to Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow and Clayton Kershaw. Flaherty had a 3.58 ERA with 68 strikeouts for the Dodgers during the regular season. Moreover, he was a starter for the Dodgers during the postseason.
Although Flaherty is a free agent and is reported to be a target for several teams, the 29-year-old professed his love for LA after being overwhelmed by the fan support at the Dodgers' World Series parade earlier this month.
"I love this city. I never want to leave," Flaherty said at the Dodgers' championship parade.
MLB insider Jon Morosi listed the Dodgers as one of the landing spots for Jack Flaherty along with rivals San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels and the New York Yankees.
