They provided one of the major upsets of the tournament by beating the Dominican Republic in the last game of the group stage to qualify for the next round.

Team Mexico head into the quarterfinals after topping Pool C in the group stage. That in itself was quite a feat as they managed to defeat Team USA and finish above them in the group. After a rocky start to the tournament which saw them lose to Colombia in their first game, they bounced back with wins over the USA, Great Britain and Canada.

Puerto Rico vs. Mexico promises to be one the most exciting fixtures of the WBC

Team Puerto Rico are pumped up after their win against the Dominican Republic on Wednesday.

Though they might lose their star closer Edwin Diaz due to an injury at the end of their previous game, they still have plenty of firepower. They are led by Javier Baez and Francisco Lindor and boast a roster full of experienced players from the MLB.

Team Mexico is also one of the strongest lineups in the tournament. They are led by experienced MLB stars like Alejandro Kirk, Rowdy Tellez and Randy Arozarena.

Arozarena has had a great tournament so far which has seen him return to his best form in a long time. All their star players have lived up to the moment as they look to bring home the WBC title for the first time in history.
