A third strike from Webb led to a bizarre sequence of events. Tim Anderson took offense with the Giants pitcher throwing a strike as he walked out of the box. His anger led to him chirping out of the dugout and eventually getting ejected by umpire D.J. Reyburn.

Webb admitted that he exchanged some words with Anderson but didn't believe the White Sox shortstop should've been ejected.

Per a recent article on NBC Sports, the Giants ace stated that he was not trying to quick-pitch Anderson and insisted that he pitched the strike after Anderson looked at him:

The home plate umpire seemed to think that Anderson was screaming at him and wasn't having any of it. He threw an irrate Anderson out of the game shortly after the strikeout.

Logan Webb had another tough outing on Wednesday. The powerful righty lost on Opening Day to the New York Yankees, giving up four runs in the Bronx.

He allowed four runs off nine hits and made it through just five innings against the Chicago White Sox to record his second loss of the season.
