The New York Yankees have been one ot the top teams in the MLB this season. Thanks to superstar performances from the likes of Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, the Bronx Bombers sit atop the American League East with an impressive 51-25 record. That being said, the team's roster is far from flawless.

Enter Jasson Dominguez, who was expected to play an important depth role for the club in the second half of the season. Unfortunately for the New York Yankees prospect, he is now expected to miss at least 8 weeks with a significant oblique injury. The team may now need to look elsewhere to better their lineup moving forward.

Five potential replacements for Jasson Dominguez for the New York Yankees

#5 - Miguel Andujar

Could a reunion between New York and Miguel Andujar be in the cards? The 29-year-old has been impressive this season for the Oakland Athletics and will likely be a trade candidate this season. If the Bronx Bombers were looking for additional outfield depth, Andujar could likely be a cheap addition this summer.

#4 - Spencer Jones

There is a chance that with Jasson Dominguez sidelined for the foreseeable future, they could look to another one of their top prospects. The hard-hitting Jones was impressive throughout Spring Training but was sent to the minors before the season. Jones has struggled a bit in Double-A this season, posting a .237 batting average but he has added 6 home runs and 32 RBIs over 54 games.

#3 - Ryan McMahon

Perhaps a more costly lineup addition to replace Jasson Dominguez's bat could be Ryan McMahon of the Colorado Rockies. The veteran infielder has been impressive this season and could not only be seen as a replacement for Dominguez but also Anthony Rizzo who was recently placed on the 60-day IL.

#2 - Brent Rooker

Another outfielder that the New York Yankees could look to add in place of Dominguez is Brent Rooker. Arguably the best player on the Oakland Athletics roster, Rooker would likely cost more than Andujar, however, he could be an important addition for the club as they push for the postseason. With Dominguez not likely to see MLB action any time soon, Rooker could be a worthwhile target.

#1 - Luis Robert Jr.

This is the big one. If New York was looking to go all-in on a potential World Series, they could look to use some of their top prospects in order to land Luis Robert Jr. from the Chicago White Sox. This trade would likely cost the Yankees some top-tier prospects, which could possibly mean Jasson Dominguez heading to Chicago. That being said, Luis Robert Jr. is a game-changer who could help New York.
